Public meeting #2 will be on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at 7:30 PM to continue gathering input for NYS Route 50 Corridor Enhancement Study. The purpose is to share preliminary concepts for corridor improvements and gather feedback from the community that will inform a preferred concept. Highlights of the online community survey will also be presented.

Similar to Town Board meetings, the public must register for the meeting.  All information is on the attached flyer or on the project website at https://www.miltonroute50.com/get-involved-1.

PLEASE HELP SPREAD THE WORD

The Ballston Spa Business and Professional Association is making every effort to keep the holiday spirit alive even if COVID-19 restrictions to large gatherings require a different approach to the celebrations.

**Please read carefully **

On Friday, December 4 at 6-6:30 pm, Santa will light the village Christmas tree from the bucket of a fire truck in Wiswall Park. *The tree lighting will be live-streamed on the BSBPA Facebook Page.* For those who may choose to come to the park, New York State COVID-19 social distancing and mask requirements will be followed and attendance limited.

Following the tree lighting, residents should be sure to peek out their front windows or stand on their front porch or at the end of their driveways as Santa will parade through neighborhoods in the village, along with the Ballston Spa Police and Fire Departments and Community Emergency Corps’ ambulance collecting Toys for Tots.

We will not be following the traditional route on Milton Ave to cut down on traffic, opting for local neighborhoods instead. The route is shown here:

Additionally, the village-sponsored annual holiday community art project “5,278 Points of Light”, under the direction of local artist Mark Blech, will feature hand-painted banners displayed on lampposts throughout the village and an ornament decorating competition.

Any complaints for the Town of Milton Code Enforcement Officier need the Complaint Form filled and and submitted to the Town.

Fall pickup of leaves and yard debris begins October 15th and will continue until our first major snowfall. Town residents can leave their yard debris curbside for the Town Highway Department to pick up. There is not a specific schedule, but we follow a 7 to 10 business day rotation. We send out two separate crews: one for brush and one for your loose leaves. To protect our equipment and our employees please keep brush and leaf piles separate. Piles that are a combination may not be able to be picked up. Your leaves and yard cannot be placed in the Town roadways. Yard debris left in the roadway is in violation of storm-water management guidelines and creates safety issues for motorists and bicyclists. You can also bring your leaves and yard debris to our transfer station located at 503 Geyser Road. Current transfer station hours are Monday – Thursday from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM and Saturdays (until further notice) 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
