The Board of Ethics meets as needed to discuss complaints and requests for Investigations and Advisory Opinions 

Purpose of the Ethics Board 

  • Prescribe and promulgate rules and regulations governing its own internal organization and procedures in a manner not inconsistent with the Milton Code of Ethics or any state or federal law 
  • Review lists of municipal officials and disclosure statements pursuant to the Milton Code of Ethics 
  • Conduct investigations and hearings, issue advisory opinions, and recommend disciplinary action and initiate appropriate actions and proceedings pursuant to the Milton Code of Ethics 
  • Provide ethics training and education to Town officers and employees on the provisions of the Milton Code of Ethics and Article 18 of the General Municipal Law

The Planning Board meets 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm at the town offices. *Please Note - A pre-application meeting with zoning enforcement official is required.

The Planning Board consists of 7 members (Plus 1 alternate) appointed by the Town Board.

Current Planning Board are:

The purpose of the Planning Board is to:

  • Assure that the development within the Town is consistent with the Land Use Plan.
  • Conduct site plan reviews as required by the Town Zoning and Codes
  • Review subdivision requests as required by the Town Subdivision Code
  • Make recommendations to the Zoning Board of Appeals when requested as part of the variance appeal process

Due to the current situation with COVID19, we have decided to cancel the  Summer Recreation Program held at Burgess Kimball Park this summer. The health and safety of the campers and counselors is our first priority.  Stay well.  We hope to see all our campers next summer. 

 

The Supervisor is the town's Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for coordinating the operations of all town departments. The Supervisor presides over the Town Board, which is an elected body that will vote on matter concerning the Town. These issues include items such as passing the town and departmental budgets, enacting town legislation, conducting hearings on matters involving town government, and making decisions that best represent the residents. The Supervisor is available to the public to discuss matters of concern, listen to resident feedback, and any other issue's that his residents may have.

The Zoning Board meets the 4th Thursday of every month at 7:00 p.m. at the town offices. The Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) consists of five members plus an alternative appointed by the Town Board.

Current ZBA members are:

The purpose of the ZBA is to:

  • Render determinations where variances from the zoning code are requested.
