With a tough winter hopefully behind us, the Highway Department has already begun its' spring clean up. Town residents can now put their leaves and yard debris curbside for the Highway Department to pick up. We ask that residents please seperate leaves from branches and sticks to protect our equipment. Yard debris may be placed curbside until mid-May. We urge Town residents to place their debris curbside before this mid-May deadline. Once we begin our road reconstruction projects, we wil require all yard debris to be placed in biodegradable paper bags or containers marked "yard waste" until the fall.
Town residents may also bring their yard debris to the transfer station located at 503 Geyser Rd. The transfer station is open Monday through Thursday from 6:00am until 4:30pm. Begining May 6th, there will also be Saturday hours from 8:00am until 1:00pm.
Compost will, once again, be made available for Town residents this year. Within the next couple weeks we will begin placing compost within the Highway gates for our residents. The compost will be available from Monday through Thursday from 6:00am until 4:30pm and beginning May 6th, Saturdays from 8:00am until 1:00pm. Compost is availabe on a first come first serve basis only.
